Bexleyheath Honoured Our Uniformed Services

Bexleyheath Town Centre was filled with community spirit on Saturday 25th July as visitors came together to celebrate Uniformed Services Day.

From 10:00am to 5:00pm, the town centre welcomed members of our Uniformed Services, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to meet the dedicated men and women who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. Throughout the day, families enjoyed speaking with representatives from a range of services, asking questions, learning more about their important roles and gaining a greater appreciation of the work they do every day.

The event brought people of all ages together, creating a welcoming atmosphere where visitors could discover more about the organisations that support our community while enjoying a day out in Bexleyheath Town Centre.

One of the day's highlights was the inspiring 2 Mile Truck Pull Challenge, which saw determined participants pull a truck all the way from Bellegrove Road, Welling, to Bexleyheath Town Centre. Spectators lined the route and gathered at the finish to cheer on everyone taking part, creating an incredible show of encouragement and community support.

The challenge also helped raise valuable funds for six deserving charities, making the event not only entertaining but an important opportunity to give back to causes that make a real difference.

A huge thank you goes to all of our Uniformed Services, the Truck Pull participants, volunteers, charity supporters and everyone who attended. Your enthusiasm and support helped make the day a tremendous success and showcased the strong community spirit that makes Bexleyheath such a special place.
