Super Saturday
Bexleyheath Town Centre was transformed into a superhero spectacular on Saturday 1st August as Broadway Super Saturday brought a full day of free family entertainment, action and adventure to the town centre.
From 10:00am to 4:00pm, families, superhero fans and visitors of all ages enjoyed an action-packed programme of activities across Broadway, creating a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.
One of the biggest highlights of the day was the series of live wrestling shows held next to the Furze Wren. Crowds gathered throughout the day to cheer on the performers as they delivered thrilling matches packed with energy, excitement and plenty of crowd interaction.
Superhero fans also had the opportunity to meet some of their favourite Avengers in the Armoury, where visitors enjoyed unforgettable photo opportunities and exciting encounters with legendary heroes.
Young heroes got creative during the Mini Heroes Mask-Making Workshops, designing their own superhero masks before taking part in the popular Hunt for the Affinity Stones, which added an extra challenge and plenty of fun to the day.
The Hero Trail proved to be another favourite, with families exploring the town centre to complete their trail sheets before collecting their well-earned superhero badges and snap bands. Participants also had the chance to enter a prize draw to win a fantastic hamper of superhero goodies, kindly provided by The Entertainer.
Nearby, visitors put their skills to the test in the free Nerf Target Zone, where aspiring marksmen competed for the chance to win a Nerf blaster in the prize draw.
There was even more entertainment to enjoy throughout the day, including an impressive display of famous movie cars, the towering and ever-popular Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, a bustling Collectibles Mini Market, and colourful face painting, ensuring there was something for every member of the family.
The event brought thousands of visitors into Bexleyheath Town Centre, creating a vibrant atmosphere while supporting local businesses and giving families a fantastic free day out during the summer holidays.
