Snake in the Grass Comes to the Edward Alderton Theatre This October

The Edward Alderton Theatre in Bexleyheath is bringing Alan Ayckbourn’s Snake in the Grass to the stage from 17–24 October 2026, directed by Jenny McKiernan.
Described as a darkly comic psychological thriller, the play promises an intriguing evening of blackmail, buried memories and shifting loyalties – where working out who you can trust is all part of the fun.
Secrets are about to surface…
The story begins when Annabel returns to the family home following the death of her father.
But her homecoming soon takes an unsettling turn when she is confronted with a shocking accusation. As secrets from the past begin to emerge, tensions rise and the audience is drawn into a story where things may not be quite what they seem.
With Alan Ayckbourn’s trademark dark humour running alongside the suspense, Snake in the Grass offers something a little different for your next night out in Bexleyheath.
