Bexley Business Awards Celebrate Five Years of Local Success

Bexley Business Awards Celebrate Five Years of Local Success

The borough's business community came together on Tuesday 12th May at Hall Place, Bexley, for a milestone evening: the fifth annual Bexley Business Awards.

What began five years ago as the Bexleyheath High Street Awards has grown into a borough-wide celebration of the businesses that make Bexley thrive. From brand-new ventures to names that have been part of the local landscape for decades, the awards recognise outstanding achievement, service, and community spirit right across the borough.

Organised by Bexleyheath BID, the evening brought together entrepreneurs, employers, and changemakers for a night of recognition, networking, and celebration. Guests were hosted by Luke Roberts, with live music from local acoustic duo Just Me And You setting the tone.

The headline award of the night, Business of the Year 2026, went to ITRM. The Bexley-based IT services company has been operating in the borough since 1999, and this year marks 27 years of building the business from the ground up.

"Entering the Bexley Business Awards was an easy decision, and a chance to showcase ITRM as a local IT services expert with strong values," said Dave White, Managing Director of ITRM. "After 27 years building this business from nothing, being named Bexley Business of the Year is truly amazing. My team and I are thrilled."

Caron Linyard, Bexleyheath's Town Centre Manager, reflected on the awards reaching their fifth year. "Reaching our fifth year of the Bexley Business Awards is a milestone in itself," she said. "Tonight has been a brilliant reminder of the talent, hard work and community spirit we have right here on our doorstep."

A total of 20 categories were awarded this year, with standout winners across customer service, hospitality, health & wellbeing, and community contribution.

The awards would not be possible without the support of their 2026 sponsors: DJH, Truly Beloved, New River, Broadway Shopping Centre, London Borough of Bexley, Home Instead, Bexley Homes, South East London Chamber of Commerce, Ikon Protection, and CD Waste. Thanks also go to the independent judging panel, whose time and care made shortlisting this year's finalists no small task.

Here's to another year of celebrating the very best of Bexley business.
