Deputy Lead Practitioner
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Nursery as a Deputy Lead Practitioner.
This is a full time position 40 hours per week.
The candidate must hold a minimum full level 3 qualification in Childcare and have experience of working with young children and babies and room leadership experience or experience of working with under two's. Candidates must have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and Development Matters.
Candidates must show a good sense of initiative and strong leadership skills.
We are looking for a trustworthy candidate who is committed to Early Years and understands the importance of high quality teaching and learning.
You will be required to run and manage the baby room and over see your team to ensure high quality teaching, learning and care for all children.
Planning fun and stimulating activities that reflect and support children's individual learning experiences and next steps.
The Lead Practitioner is responsible for delegating the team, arranging room meetings, carrying out room/ team observations and feeding back and training, planning the environment of the room and monitoring impact, implementing new ideas to support best practice, working as part of a team, implementing "Outstanding" practice, displaying high levels of interaction with children and showing good use of initiative and leadership, overseeing observation and assessments, implementing the Nursery's visions and values and working closely with the Nursery Manager.
Your role will also include being a key person to a group of children and you will need to liaise and work closely with Parents and Carers.
