Join us in Bexleyheath Town Centre on Saturday 25th October 2025 for the heartfelt launch of this yearβs Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, organised by the Bexleyheath and Welling Branch.
The day will begin with a Service of Dedication at Christ Church, Broadway from 11am, led by Rev. Trevor Wyatt at the Garden of Remembrance. This special service invites the local community to come together in reflection, remembrance, and support.
From 10am to 4pm, the town centre will host a range of family-friendly activities designed to educate, engage, and commemorate:
πͺ Trench Experience β step into a powerful recreation of wartime conditions
π Austin Champ Army Jeep β a chance to see an iconic military vehicle up close
πΆ Live music and delicious food stalls β enjoy the atmosphere while supporting the cause
A highlight of the day will be the presence of the Burma Boys Living History Group, who will be sharing stories and insights into the Officers and Men who served in the South-East Asian theatre of World War II. Their dedication to keeping this vital history alive offers a meaningful experience for all ages.
This event is a chance for our community to unite, honour those who served, and support the important work of the Royal British Legion.
