Accessibility & Transport
There are a number of challenges with access to Bexleyheath: many shoppers, employees and visitors complain that the cost of public transport is high and parking is difficult and too expensive (long-term parking for staff being a particular problem). Abuse of on-street parking causes inconvenience, delivery problems and creates danger for pedestrians. We want to see more parking spaces at a realistic cost.
We propose to do this by working with the Council and other providers to:
Promote the availability of the existing car parking, harmonizing the signage and identification of both the public and private sector alternatives.
Work closely with those responsible for traffic regulation and transport (TFL).
Work with the Police and the Council to address inappropriate parking.
